Booking directly with Svenson Sportfishing offers you a more personalized, higher-quality fishing experience—often at a lower cost than charters booked through cruise lines. Here’s what sets us apart:
- Private Trips: All of our charters are private, meaning your group will have the boat and captain all to yourselves. Whether you’re a group of 2, 4, or 6, you won’t be paired with strangers. Our six-pack license allows us to take up to six passengers per trip, ensuring a more personal and comfortable experience. In contrast, cruise-line charters often pair smaller groups together to fill the boat, which may not offer the privacy or flexibility you’re looking for.
- Trip Options: We offer flexible trip types, including 4-hour salmon, 4-hour halibut, and (time permitting) 6-hour combo trips. Cruise lines typically only offer 4-hour salmon trips, limiting your options.
- Guaranteed Time on the Water: Our trips guarantee a full 4 hours of fishing on the water, not including transportation time. Many cruise-line charters count the shuttle ride in their trip time, often leaving only about 3 hours for actual fishing. Additionally, we recommend getting your fishing license ahead of time, so you don’t lose precious fishing minutes on trip day.
- Competitive Pricing: Our prices are highly competitive with other private charters in the area and significantly lower than the marked-up rates charged by cruise lines.
- Know Your Captain: When you book with us, you know exactly who will be guiding your trip. You can read our captain bios on our website and even request a specific captain if they’re available. Cruise lines often subcontract trips to different captains, so you won’t know who’s running your charter until the day of.
Transportation Shuttle Service
We know that getting to and from your fishing trip should be the least of your worries. That’s why we offer a convenient shuttle service to pick you up right from your cruise ship berth. It’s a quick, scenic 20-minute ride to Clover Pass Marina, and you won’t have to stress about catching a cab or figuring out transportation.
Cabs can be hit or miss—not to mention pricey. Our shuttle gives you peace of mind so you can focus on what really matters: fishing. We’ll make sure you get to the dock on time and in comfort, so you can enjoy a stress-free day on the water without worrying about logistics. |
